Wow, at first I was a little disappointed because Amazon had listed the ship date as about two weeks, but I was amazed when item arrived in 2 days. Very fast shipping, and products are in good condition. Not your typical muslin, closer to a really large bed sheet. Overall, I am happy with the product for the price that I had paid. Test images came out fine.

Great buy!, February 17, 2010

I am a young filmmaker/photographer and this screen is totally what i wanted. It is really big and I can easily set it up so it folds down on the ground about 8 feet tall, 9 feet across, and another 5 or six feet on the ground. It is really bright green, great for chroma keying I just need to get a better camera and lights.

This seem like a simple bed sheet, in fact, I am sure it is. The color was right on though and it would have difficult trying to find a bed sheet this particular color.

Outstanding light set – excellent quality and light quality. Daylight in my house!, February 27, 2011

Outstanding light set. Easy to set up and the lighting is perfect for video which is what I am using it for. It looks just like daylight and the blubs do not get very hot at all. I had them on in a small room (8 X 10) for an hour and they were just getting warm. No broken parts and the shipping was super fast. I love the lights and can strongly recommend them. Note that I am a amateur making videos, but I am very sensitive to what light looks like in my pictures and videos. However, people often comment on how nice the lighting and color is in my pictures and videos – so I do have a good feel for what is good.

Much better than I expected!, August 10, 2011

For the price, I didn’t expect much. I needed more light than I owned for an upcoming project. I was going to rent some similar (but higher quality) lights from a local company. Then I ran across this set. For what it would cost me to rent lights for the time needed, I could own these.

Putting them together was not difficult (except for the hoods)- the instructions don’t help much. (Hint: make sure the hood rods are FULLY inserted when you attach the hood, they have a tendency to slip out a little, then you have problems).

The stands themselves are pretty decent, but the fixtures and adjustable clamps are of lesser quality. If you plan on putting these together and leaving them in your studio – they will work fine. I would not suggest them for remote/location shoots – the hoods are way too difficult to put together.

The quality of light and brightness is just fine, and having a separate switch for each bulb gives you plenty of variation…

Yes, they take time to set up (unlike simple umbrella-type flash soft boxes). I haven’t figured a way to safely store the heads with the bulbs in them, so it takes time to take it all apart for storage. However I haven’t found this much (directional yet diffused) light per dollar in any other form.

The second pair of these soft boxes I bought were an improvement. The corners of the boxes near the light are velcro slits on the new boxes, which make it simple to assemble them. The first set I bought had fixed sides (no slits) and one convertible pocket. Here are my instructions for those with the convertible pocket and no side slits:

Don’t screw the CFL bulbs in until the softbox is constructed. Put the 5-bulb base in your lap with the swivel (which will attach to the light stand) towards you and the empty bulb sockets facing up. Fit the inner opening of the softbox (foil side up) onto the bulb base. (This is a fairly tight squeeze to keep stray light from leaving…

No-budget filmmakers take note…, March 14, 2008

This thing is easy to use, sturdy, complies with even the cheapest tripod, folds up nice and comes with its own little carrying case. Rarely do you see dolly shots in no-budget films, so this item is your chance to cheaply achieve a professional camera effect. It’s got thick rubber on the wheels and rolls smoothly on carpet and bare floors. If you’re using it on asphalt or uneven surfaces you’ll want to put down cardboard as a “track” to even out the bumps. Coolest of all, I was able to pull off a Hitchcock-style dolly out/zoom in shot. Get this and have fun.

The person that got this for Christmas loved it. It protects the Sony Cyber shot very well. I think you could drop it (I don’t recommend this) and the camera wouldn’t be damaged.

Item was as promised and was delivered on-time.

Really good case, February 7, 2011

This is a really good camera case for the price. It has a clip for hooking on to a bag or other carrying products and has a soft inside so it doesn’t damage the lense or screen of your camera also has pockets on inside to store a memory card or cleaning cloth and the best thing is the hard outer layer protects the camera from dropping or similar situations, overall good but the color is kind of dull still good though

Great product, November 15, 2011

I purchased this item for my wife, for a party she was doing. Setup was very quick and very easy. The only problem I really had with it was the cloth was kind of thin, and I should have opened it first before the first use. It was really wrinkled. Other then that everything else was really nice.

Use with caution!!!, October 9, 2011

The stylus is a little too short to use comfortably, and I have small hands. It took a while to get used to it. The biggest complaint that I have is that it broke my phone, i.e., the earplug connector broke the jack on my phone. I spent a couple hours at the phone store getting my phone replaced; luckily it was still under warranty.

If you decide to get this product, I would recommend that you find some other means to keep it close than use the earplug connector. I now have a string to hang it around my neck.

Short strings and the tips fell off right away, October 9, 2011

I agree with other buyers that the strings are too short to reach the phone surface. The tips fell off immediately and must be glued back with super glue. I took the string out and made it longer to be able to plug it into the speaker hole. It does glide well on my phone and I can use it very nicely to send text and such. I am not sure how long it will last as it looks a bit flimsy to me.
